The Citrus County Education Foundation invites you to our 11th annual Foundation Fest. This fundraising event will take place at the College of Central Florida. Come out and support your favorite community leaders - celebrity servers for the night competing to raise the most tips. The event will also include a lip sync contest, an ugly sweater contest and our incredible online silent auction that you cannot miss! All proceeds from this event will go towards CCEF programs supporting our public schools.
Each year, CCEF provides every teacher and department in Citrus County public schools with an opportunity to apply for a $500 or $1,000 Mini-Grant. Mini-Grants give teachers the opportunity to enhance the classroom experience with supplemental tools and resources focusing on literacy. This competitive grant program occurs every September, culminating in the Mini-Grant Awards Gala!
Every year, CCEF hosts a celebratory dinner honoring the Teacher of the Year and School Related Employee of the Year from each district school and department. Galaxy is a night to award and honor those who do so much for our students each and every day. Read more for details.
We are hosting the 12th Annual Citrus Kids Triathlon! The event features three divisions: JR (2017-2020) and SR (2013-2014) and a Tri4Fun that is open to any age. Children ages 5-15 can participate in the Age Group divisions. If you just want to TRI a triathlon, then enter the non-competitive Tri4Fun division where adults and children can go together.
The event takes place in April each year, and is part of the Education Foundation’s “Educational Fitness” month which helps to raise money for public education while focusing on the importance of healthy minds and bodies.
A day long bus tour featuring Citrus County School District dignitaries, Citrus County Education Foundation board members, and donors, celebrating our best and brightest graduating seniors. Stops are made at each nominee's home throughout the day. The awards are based on academic achievement, personal accomplishments and service to their school. Seniors are nominated by each high school and the potential winners are chosen by a selection committee.
