Scholarships

The James & Clarine Kennedy Memorial Scholarship Committee will select a student who demonstrates fortitude and initiative in preparing for a future in health care. This $1,000 scholarship is available to graduating seniors in the Academy of Health Careers at Crystal River High School who are pursuing a career in health care or a health-care-related field.

Available to students from Lecanto High School only. One $1000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships are available. These are all one time scholarships. Applicant must submit an essay describing their inspiration for post-secondary education (career goals, if any), major obstacles to achieving these goals and life experience that shows  they can accomplish these goals.

Available to students from Crystal River and Lecanto High Schools. This is a one-time $1,000 scholarship.

This is a one-time $1,000 scholarship is awarded to two seniors who have attended Citrus County District school for at least 1 year. Students must also demonstrate leadership in extracurricular activities. Community activities may help to document leadership skills. Each applicant must write an essay explaining why the student is seeking this scholarship, why the student wants to attend college and the student’s goals for the future.
